Fisher-Price baby toys are good for a lot of things, but did you ever think one could turn into a working Xbox controller? Popular Twitch streamer and modder Dylan”rudeism“Stream did just thathe then played Tony Hawk and Elden Ring with him.
To make all of this work, Rudeism took the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Game & Learn game controller and modified it to work fully in some PC games. More impressively, he managed to get the mod to work without sacrificing the original look or features of the baby toy.
By that, we mean the controller still makes all kinds of fun baby noises, including the popular “1, 2, 3, 4, up your score!” sounds. So when not connected to a computer, it will keep the little ones entertained.
Here’s a quick video posted on Twitter with more details and the modder showing him playing Elden Ring. Impressive, right?
Here’s the Fisher Price Xbox controller in action!
let me know what games you would like to see me play with him
and thanks to @Wario64 for the impromptu prank that inspired me to make this happen 😂 pic.twitter.com/3OETvcsEsI

Further down the Twitter threads, he show a quick clip from the popular game Tony Hawk, where he used the Fisher-Price toy to pull off a million-point combo trick. Then cranking things up a bit, you can see some rocket league gameplay on the $13 controller, which is pretty cool to look at.
According IGNRudeism had to cut out a small area in the front for the USB cable and modify the circuit board inside. However, you could “leverage existing circuit board” which makes things even easier. Then it seems that all it took was a few software tweaks to change the way the single joystick works. The biggest challenge of all is that this Fisher-Price toy only has a single joystick, and many games require two.
The Twitch streamer is no stranger to creating weird controllers for all sorts of games. Some of them include beat dark souls 3 with a morse code system and other random fun projects. It’s all pretty entertaining, and it sounds like these aren’t the last games or mods Rudeism has in store.
