Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system allows you to adjust your clock manually and automatically through an option in Settings. We’ll show you how to do just that.

Note: Changing the date and time on your PC may affect certain applications that depend on those options. If you experience any issues with those apps after changing the time, consider going back to the original date and time settings.

Manually change the time in Windows 10

If you want to manually specify the time on your PC, use the Built-in Settings option to do so.

Start by launching Settings on your PC. Press the Windows keys + the keys and the application will open.

In the Settings window, select “Time and language”.

On the “Date and time” page that opens, make sure that the “Set time automatically” and “Set time zone automatically” options are unchecked.

Under “Set the date and time manually,” click “Change.”

You will see a “Change date and time” window. Here, click on the current date and time options and set them to your choice. When you’re done, at the bottom, click “Change.”

Set the time to update automatically in Windows 10

If you don’t want to use the manually specified time on your PC, you can get Windows 10 to automatically adjust the clock. Your PC syncs with Microsoft time servers to get the current time for your region.

This feature should be enabled by default, but you or another user may have disabled it in the past. To enable it again, first, open Settings by pressing Windows + i. In the Settings window, click “Time and language”.

On the “Date and time” page, enable the “Set time automatically” and “Set time zone automatically” options.

Turn on the auto time and time zone options.

And that is. Your PC will obtain the current time from Microsoft servers and use it as the system time.
