Lectric eBikes, the Arizona-based makers of fun electric bikes of all shapes and sizes, recently announced a new affordable bike with a lot to offer. Of course, we are talking about the new Lectric XPremium, which includes a mid-drive motor and two batteries.

While this new bike looks like the popular Lectric XP budget line, it has a lot more to offer riders, especially at the price point. Yes, the new Lectric XPremium is $1,799, but as Electric points out, the bike’s spec sheet reads like something that’s typically over $3,000.

With the new Lectric XPremium fat tire e-Bike, riders get a powerful mid-drive motor instead of a hub motor, capable of working with multiple gears while propelling the bike to over 28 MPH. With its 500W continuous power rating (800W peak) and five different pedal-assist modes, it easily hits those speeds.

The XPremium includes a dynamic torque sensor, which works in conjunction with the bike’s 7-speed transmission, giving you exactly the power you need at any given moment. Instead of a single pedal and motor speed like some electric bikes, it comes with seven different gears. The torque sensor keeps track of everything, and the hThe more you pedal, the more the motor works for you.

Then, as expected, the included throttle will help riders enjoy a casual ride or climb steep hills thanks to user-adjustable Class 1, 2, or 3 options. The new premium Lectric XP also comes with upgraded 160mm hydraulic disc brakes, a longer front suspension fork to improve ride comfort and, most importantly, two battery packs.

Yes, this folding electric bike has two batteries capable of allowing riders to travel more than 120 miles on a single charge. Lectric says that even in the highest level 5 pedal-assist mode, you’ll be able to go around 60 miles before needing a recharge.

Overall, there is a lot to like here considering the price. For example, many folding electric bikes have a mid-drive (not mid-drive) motor with a single battery and no adjustable gears and often cost upwards of $1,300 or more.

With the new Lectric XPremium, you get a capable electric bike with plenty of range that can be easily folded up and fit in the back of a car or in the storage compartment of your RV. The new bike comes in black or white, starts shipping in June, and can be yours for $1,799.
