Metaphysic, a company that builds AI content generation infrastructure and tools for Web3, today announced two additions to its C-suite team.
The company promoted Erika Coppel from Marketing Manager to Director of Marketing. Coppel was previously director of marketing and creator experience at OnlyFans for two years.
In his newly expanded role, Coppel will play an integral role in creating Metaphysic’s digital interfaces for trade associations and consumers. He recently orchestrated Metaphysic’s promotional campaign on America’s Got Talent and increased Metaphysic’s presence on TikTok and Instagram.
With more than 20 years of marketing, technology and customer experience, Coppel has held marketing leadership positions at international companies such as Conker, Mercedes-Benz and Maybe*.
“I am very proud to be part of a talented team of technologists, visionaries and creators,” said Coppel. “Metaphysics has changed the paradigm of the entertainment industry and has reinvented the way we are represented in the digital world.”
Metaphysic’s products include Every Everyone, a tool that allows users to create a realistic synthetic avatar using advanced artificial intelligence and their biometric data. Metaphysic Studios builds deep learning and AI content generation tools to create deep fakes.
He partnered with Gillette (P&G) and Nice Shoes on a marketing campaign, creating a synthetic version of football coach Deion Sanders exactly as he looked the night he was drafted by the NFL. The campaign aired during the 2021 NFL Draft
The company is co-founded by AI artist Chris Ume, who developed many of the tools and techniques behind today’s best-known deepfakes, including the viral sensation “DeepTomCruise” at South’s “Sassy Justice” park.
In addition, Metaphysic has hired its first metaverse CEO, Beni Issembert, who will lead the company’s web3 efforts through strategic partnerships, the continued creation of hyperreal content, and the exploration of new technologies and research.
Issembert has more than two decades of experience in blockchain technology and the digital world. He has held the position of chief marketing officer for several global companies focused on blockchain and digital entertainment, including Concordium, Beam Privacy, and Titan.fr.
“In this newly created role, I am honored to be part of a team that is leading the industry and setting the tone for the future of hyper-real content and entertainment,” said Issembert. “The company’s work to create an ethical web3 space supported by consent and ownership of biometric data will serve as a guide in the industry for years to come.”
The company also recently hired its first director of product innovation, Jo Plaete, a former Disney CG and VFX supervisor and innovation veteran. With additional support from Coppel and Issembert, Metaphysic aims to strengthen its position as the leading hyperreal AI platform.
