Are you having email problems with an Outlook.com account? Don’t worry, you’re not alone: it’s a widespread problem, and Microsoft is trying to fix it.
Microsoft’s Service Status Dashboard reports that Outlook.com is currently experiencing issues, with the company saying that “users may not be able to access or use Outlook.com services or features.” Downdetector, a popular service for tracking when popular apps and services crash, has received increased reporting for Outlook.com, Office 365 and Microsoft accounts.
Some people report general issues with Office 365, but most of the feedback is related to slow or interrupted Outlook syncing and messages taking much longer than normal to send. there’s also Many reports in Social average. Older Hotmail and Windows Live email addresses may also be affected, as they use much of the same infrastructure as current Outlook.com accounts.
If you have an email that you absolutely need to get out right now, it might be a good idea to look for a Gmail or Yahoo account. Otherwise, it shouldn’t take long for the interrupt to be fixed.
