Private Internet Access is one of the most popular VPNs around and is our current budget pick for the best VPN services. Now it’s getting even better, with the addition of unlimited simultaneous connections.

Many VPN providers impose a limit on the number of devices you can have connected at one time, partly to manage network capacity and also to prevent someone from sharing their account with too many other people. Private Internet Access, also known simply as PIA, previously had a limit of 10 concurrent connections. However, if you ran your entire network through PIA with a VPN-capable router (which is generally not a good idea), then your entire house counted as one device toward that limit.

Starting today, PIA will completely lower its device limit, allowing people to have as many devices connected via the same subscription as they want. The company said in its announcement: “PIA’s new offer of unlimited device connections by subscription applies to both new and existing customers, and is a significant upgrade from the previously offered 10 device connections.”

Private Internet Access already has most of the features you’d expect from a VPN provider, including apps on all major platforms, browser extensions, WireGuard support, worldwide servers, and limited support for streaming services. Most people probably weren’t maxing out that 10-device connection limit, but leaving it certainly makes PIA a better overall value.

You can learn more about the service on the official PIA site, and if you’re considering signing up, check out our Private Internet Access review for more information.
