Got a fancy new Roku TV or streaming stick for Christmas? If so, you’ll want to take advantage of a host of different Roku features or channels during the holiday season. We are talking about Christmas wallpapers, putting a fireplace on the wall or receiving the new year.

For those who don’t know, Roku has a fireplace channel that will broadcast a real fireplace burning, starting with pieces of wood and slowly fading out. He’ll get the glow of the fireplace, the crackle and pop of real wood, and the only thing he’ll miss is the smell. Still, it’s a great way to stay festive during the holiday season.

Roku devices have a ton of fun Christmas wallpapers and themes that you can take advantage of as well. However, with Christmas behind us and 2023 on the horizon, you’ll want to start preparing for New Year’s Eve and all those festivities.

To that end, Roku designed a “New Years Core Experience” for all of its devices, giving users one place to stay on top of all the action. The company even has a dedicated channel to check out all the countdowns as we get closer to 2023.

The main attraction, however, is Roku’s central experience zone for all things New Year’s Eve. Roku owners can access the “New Years Core Experience” from the home screen menu that begins December 30 to January 2. You can also say “New Year” with your voice if you have the voice remote.

From here, you’ll find tons of NYE content to enjoy. As in years past, Roku has countless freebies, free content to watch, and more, which means you can enjoy hours of entertainment completely free.

According to the company, there will be four days of raffles with Roku prizes and a whole home theater raffle. Users can click the “Let’s Celebrate!” tab inside the NYE zone and watch free shows or the best original content from Roku.

You can tune in to “Best of Streaming 2022,” a new special from Roku Recommends. Check out the newly launched Roku Sports Zone to catch all the NCAAF, NFL, and NHL games this weekend. Stream music from a bunch of services, or as usual, try one of Roku’s many winter wallpapers, themes, and screensavers.

As a reminder, all events and giveaways end on January 2. So, fire up that Roku TV or streaming device and have some fun.
