That’s an expensive Cybertruck-inspired phone charger.
Elon Musk is no stranger to throwing out weird products, from pricey Tesla tumblers to Boring Company Burnt Hair scented cologne. This week Tesla released a fancy new wireless phone charging pad inspired by the Cybertruck, but it will cost a whopping $300.
The new “Tesla Wireless Charging Pad” is a high-end wireless charging pad perfect for your smartphone, headphones, smartwatch and more. And while it’s ridiculously expensive, it looks classy and packs plenty of power.
According to Tesla, the new charger is “inspired by Cybertruck’s angular design and metallic styling.” So while you can’t buy the truck yet, you can at least spend a pretty penny charging all your gadgets.
As you can see in the images, the Tesla Wireless Charger features a sleek aluminum design, front and center Tesla logo, and plenty of power to charge three devices simultaneously. Additionally, the company opted for a smooth Alcantara fabric finish to keep its devices scratch-free.
So what do you get for a $300 Tesla wireless charging pad?
- wireless charging pad
- Integrated USB-C cable with wireless charger
- 65W USB-C Power Adapter
- detachable magnetic mount
The entire surface of the pad doubles as a Qi wireless charging pad, which means you can easily set any device up and it will start charging. According to the product page, it will charge devices with 15W of power and can charge three devices at the same time.
We like that the stand is detachable, perfect for those who want to place the charging pad on a desk. That being said, this thing is wildly expensive for what it has to offer. You can find similar products from popular brands like Satechi. Samsung offers a quality wireless charging pad for three devices for under $70, and there’s even more for as low as $40 on Amazon.
