Microsoft released Windows 11 22H2 last month, as the first major update to the latest version of Windows. The company has also been working on a 22H2 update for everyone still using Windows 10, and it’s rolling out now.

Microsoft has released Windows 10 version 22H2 which is this year’s major update for Windows 10, just like 22H2 was the major update for Windows 11 this year. However, the update for Windows 10 has no significant new features: Microsoft described it as “providing a limited scope of new features and functionality delivered through a familiar, fast, and reliable update experience.”

There is no official list of changes in Windows 10 22H2. computer beep reports that the update adds an option to receive critical notifications when focus assist is enabled, and there may be other minor changes. Last year’s Windows 10 21H2 Update, released alongside the first version of Windows 11, was also feature-poor.

Understandably, this upgrade isn’t too exciting: Microsoft has moved all feature development to Windows 11, and Windows 10 only remains for people with unsupported hardware (although there are workarounds) and organizations that don’t want to upgrade just yet. Windows 10 will continue to be supported until October 14, 2025.

If you have a PC with Windows 10 installed, you should see the 22H2 update on Windows Update soon. You can also visit the Microsoft website to create a DVD or USB installer for Windows 10 22H2.
