Jabra

Jabra is best known for its high-end headphones and Active line, but the company also has great headphones at a more affordable price point that are worth considering. The new Jabra Elite 4 is still under $100, only now it includes active noise cancellation and smarter features.

Available today, the $99 Jabra Elite 4 packs a host of fancy features into a relatively affordable set of headphones. The overall styling and layout is similar to the Elite 3, which didn’t have ANC, making it less than ideal for those in noisy environments.

With the new Jabra Elite 4, you’ll still enjoy physical buttons, a rarity in headsets these days. As a result, a quick tap will instantly activate a voice assistant, Spotify, answer calls quickly, or enable Jabra’s HearThrough transparency mode.

However, all the other fancy features on board make the Elite 4 a great set of headphones for $100. These come with multipoint Bluetooth, so you can seamlessly switch between devices, calls, and apps—not to mention Fast Pair (in Android) and SwiftPair.

Jabra uses the same 4-microphone technology to improve call clarity as the Elite 4 Active, which also offers excellent active noise cancellation for the price. Fortunately, even with ANC, the Elite 4 still has a decent battery life, good for 5.5 hours of playback. Plus, you’ll get 22 hours with the battery case or a full 28 hours with ANC turned off.

It’s worth noting that these are still only IP55 rated, which is plenty for the gym. However, if you’re doing intense workouts or planning to be more active, consider the IP57-rated Jabra Elite 4.

These earbuds also have Jabra’s solo mode, allowing users to enjoy one at a time to extend battery life or make a quick phone call while the other is charging. Another thing the Elite 4 has over the competition is Qualcomm aptX compatibility and a fully customizable equalizer with the Jabra app.

The new Jabra Elite 4 comes in dark grey, navy blue, lilac and light beige color options and is available starting today for $99 at Best Buy and other retailers.
