Rad Power has long been one of the most popular electric bike manufacturers, but something new is coming next week. The company says it’s releasing its most requested model by fans and fellow cyclists.
Between last summer’s reviewed RadRover 6 Plus and the popular RadRunner or RadExpand 5, the company has no shortage of options. However, Rad Power Bikes has just started teasing that an all-new model is coming next week. The teaser image doesn’t reveal much at first glance, but we’ve got some good ideas of what it could be.

The RadRover fat tire mountain bike started it all for the company and remains the best-selling bike it offers. That said, the “most requested” electric bike is likely to be more affordable than what the company currently offers.
the people in electric went a step further and turned up the shine in the teaser image that Rad Power posted on Twitter and thinks it will likely be some sort of affordable folding electric bike. And yes, Rad already has a folding bike, but it sells for $1,600.
In the image provided, we get a glimpse of a utility-style bike with a step-up frame, a massive new battery location, no suspension, and tires that aren’t quite as fat as previous offerings. Also, it looks like this next model could be a folding bike.
If we had to guess, Rad Power Bikes is gearing up to release a new affordable folding electric bike for the masses. If you want to take on the cheap competition, Lectric and others, you’ll have to retail for less than $1,000. I was hoping for a full suspension electric bike, but that doesn’t seem very likely.
Either way, we’ll find out more on Tuesday, December 6, when Rad Power Bikes unveils its latest set of electrified wheels. Stay tuned for more details.
