Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip 4 features a few small changes and improvements, including improved Cover Screen functionality. But it still hasn’t reached the end. If you really want to treat your Flip 4’s Cover Screen like a second screen, you need CoverScreen OS.
Created by XDA-recognized developer jagan2, CoverScreen OS allows you to use any app without opening the Galaxy Z Flip 4. It was originally developed for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but is now compatible with Samsung’s latest foldable.
You can choose to display apps from a selected drawer in CoverScreen OS, or just browse all your apps like crazy. Unique gestures let you switch between apps on the fly, and a full on-screen keyboard (or a classic T9-style keyboard) lets you reply to messages or search for information.
Certain apps, like Instagram, don’t work very well on the Z Flip 4 Cover Screen. And, in fact, CoverScreen OS has its fair share of issues. But it’s still an amazing tool for those who want to get more out of their Z Flip 4’s cover screen.
You can download CoverScreen OS for free on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 4. But several key features, including the ability to hide apps from showing on the Cover Screen, require a $2 monthly fee or annual payment. of $ 15 .
