It’s happened to all of us: you shared your Netflix login with someone else and now you can’t make them leave your account. Fortunately, Netflix will give you the option to kick people out of your account without changing your password.
The new feature being added to Netflix will allow you to remove a certain device from your account, so you can sign out of those devices without having to resort to changing your password. Changing your password can be understandably annoying since you’ve probably set up Netflix on all of your devices, including TVs with virtual keyboards that suck to type on, and changing the password would also shut it down. This option would save you from that headache.
To sign someone out of your account, simply go to your account settings, find “Manage access and devices” and select “Sign Out” from the unknown device you want to sign out of. As you can tell from what we said above, this option won’t change your password, so technically, there’s nothing stopping that exploiter from re-entering if they have the password handy.
This option comes up when Netflix is trying to make freeloaders pay for their own accounts, so if you have any holds that you’d love to initiate from your account, now you can.
