If you’re wondering “how much does it cost to rent an RV?” look no further! It depends on the types of RVs you’re interested in renting. Keep reading to learn more.

Classes of RVs

There are two types of RV: motorhome and trailer.

Motorhomes are RVs where the cabin and the driver seats are all part of the vehicle and you can move between the two easily. Trailers are cabins on wheels that you tow with your car or truck, but you can’t move between the two. There are different classes of each of these types of vehicles.

The price you’ll pay to rent an RV will depend on the class and age of the RV. Older models are anything over ten years. Browse here if you’re interested in a rent camper

Class A motorhomes are the biggest, luxury ones. They sleep up to ten people. Newer models cost around $350-450 per night, while older ones are around $150-250 per night.

Class B motorhomes sleep up to four people. Newer models cost around $200-350 per night, while older ones are around $100-200 per night.

Class C motorhomes are of medium size and driving difficulty, sleeping up to seven people. Newer models cost around $225-400 per night, while older ones are around $150-200 per night.

Most trailers require a mid-size truck or SUV to safely transport them.

Popup campers are the smallest trailers, ranging from $50-100 per night. Travel trailers are the medium options. They go for between $50-200 per night depending on the model.

Fifth-wheel campers are much bigger and need a large truck for transport. They go for $60-300 depending on the model.

RV Extra Fees

It’s not just the RV rental cost that you need to budget for. Most RV owners have packages with extra fees that you need to incorporate into your rental agreement.

Fees include rental insurance and roadside assistance. Most places won’t let you rent without paying these, so if you’re in an emergency there are funds to cover someone coming to your rescue.

You’ll also have to pay a security deposit, service fee, and taxes. You’ll also have to pay for the mileage. Depending on the RV service, you might have to pay extra for add-ons.

All of these fees will alter depending on the RV you’re renting and how long you’re renting for. To avoid any surprises, make sure you’re getting an exhaustive quote before confirming your budget.
